In-Ovation System Braces: The Pros & Cons

In-Ovation System Braces: The Pros & Cons

In-Ovation System self-ligating braces are great for adults and teens who want a more streamlined look, and gentler approach, to orthodontic treatment. Be sure to consider the following factors before choosing this option!

In-Ovation is one of the many the advances that orthodontics has undergone in recent years. But in spite of the advanced the technology, the best treatment choice for any give person will depend on that person's unique needs.

Is In-Ovation is a good choice for you?

One of the benefits of self-ligating braces is that they are significantly smaller than traditional metal braces, because they use a sliding mechanism instead of bands or ties.

As a result of their smaller size, we find that our In-Ovation braces wearers experience less friction against the insides of their mouths when they first get braces, meaning less pain and discomfort in general.

The smaller size also makes self-ligating braces  a little easier to clean than traditional braces, and not quite as likely to hold of to bits of your lunch!

And finally, sometimes treatment with self-ligating braces can be shorter in duration than treatment with regular braces.

Aside from the above factors, self-ligating braces aren't too different than regular braces, and even the difference in treatment duration isn’t significant.

Please also note that though prices vary from place to place, self-ligating braces are usually more expensive than traditional braces are.
